Overview

Released in 2000 by Blizzard Entertainment, Diablo II is widely regarded as one of the greatest action role-playing games ever made. Set in the dark fantasy world of Sanctuary, players pursue the Lord of Terror himself through four acts of demon-slaying carnage.

The Lord of Destruction expansion added Act V, the Assassin and Druid classes, rune words, and the Battle.net ladder — cementing D2's legacy as the ARPG template that everything since has tried to replicate.

Over two decades later, the game remains actively played, speedrun, and theorycrafted. The community is alive, the servers are up, and the loot is still dropping.
